Upgrade on Networked PC
« on: June 06, 2002, 06:50:46 am »

I've just upgraded from 7 to 8, and here's a weird thing:

My media library files are showing up in duplicate, that is, once on the local drive path and once on the network drive path for the same file. It's a win2k ip network. Do I have to delete them all and re-import? Uninstall and start over? very confusing. even more so because some files ONLY show up in one or the other but not both. Help?

Check Help in MJ/ Manage Libraries/ Update Library.

Thanks, but Help did not help. I just cleared the library and reimported, and no more duplicate listings. Too bad I lost all my smartlists (again). Can't wait to try media server - should be worth the upgrade fee from my mj6 license.
