Reworded question RE playlists and if m3u files are recommended or not.

When importing 150GB plus of audio files into MC for the first time would you use m3u files or are these not required.

Would you use m3u files or not bother, any pros or cons to using them?

Assuming the files are tagged properly you don't need to import "album" m3u playlists if that is what you have. The albums will be grouped automatically. Naturally you can import any m3u playlists that contain various tracks in your preferred playback order. The imported playlists will appear in "tree > Playlists > Imported Playlists".
