How to stop auto advance

When I play a video, after it ends MC automatically starts playing the next one instead of stopping. I see there is an option under the play menu to stop after the current file, but you have to click that for every video you play. Is there an option to have it not advance permanently? I have MC 13

Matt:
If you start playback with Right-click > Play, only the selected item will be put in Playing Now.  So if you do that with repeat off, only one video will play.

You can also configure double-click to do the same in Options > General.
