Repeat setting not being saved - bug or feature?
« on: April 27, 2011, 01:24:42 am »

I cannot get MC16 to save the setting for "Stop After Each Item" under the Repeat settings. Every time I restart MC it always reverts to "Repeat Playing Now". Other repeat settings are saved.

Is this a bug or a feature?

I've got a similar problem. When I deactivate the output format DSP Studio (checkbox in the list to the left) it is being reactivated with MC restart. That's very annoying and happens with MC 16.0.75.

Some settings aren't preserved between runs to avoid confusion if they're accidentally enabled.  This is one of them.

If you play video, it can be auto-enabled if it is required by your soundcard.

You will get the best sound quality by enabling DSP Studio > Output Format and picking the highest bit depth that your audio hardware supports.  This is true for both audio and video.

I don't use MC for video so this isn't it. In that case I can understand it. I recently changed my output from on-board sound to my graphics HDMI maybe that's causing it.

Since MC always reactivates it I'll give it a try.

Thanks for your answer Matt!

I should mention that the bug of the checkbox for Output Format not working in some cases will be fixed in build 76 and later.  Hopefully it will be available in about a week.

Thanks.

Seems a little arbitrary, but I guess I see the point.
