Version 15 lost my playlists

As you'll soon see I'm new here.  Been using Media Center for many years and have rated thousands of songs which is the basis for my playlists.  Problem:  upgraded to version 15 and my playlists don't show up under "Playlists".  Tried searching the forum with no luck.  Tried importing....Tried dragging my playlist files to the "playlist" area.  Must be something simple I'm sure but my brain tumor is blocking progress.  Any suggestions?...regarding the playlist problem that is.....

Make a library backup in the previous version and restore the backup in v15 (or better, v16).

Playlists, views, etc. are all contained in a library backup.
