Newbie shutdown problem

Seeing the coverart of my albums has reconnected me with music that I forgot I had.The 3d wall is especially really great.
So I was inspired to go beyond the demo however now that I have the upgrade MC shuts down after I import about two album covers from files on my computer. I get an error message and it closes.
Any advise on fixing this problem?
