LAV Audio and MC16 problems
« on: May 05, 2011, 11:58:56 am »

Using Nev's new LAV audio decoder with MC16 is giving me some problems. I'm able to playback DD, DD+, DTS, and DTS-HD tracks perfectly over HDMI; however, after I stop the movie MC16 will not release my soundcard from exclusive mode meaning that I am unable to playback any other audio until I restart MC16.

Is there any way to get MC or LAV to release my sound card once playback has stopped?

Are you using the JRiver audio engine (i.e. 'Same as device used for audio playback' in Options > Video)?

If so, does playing audio do the same thing?

I am using the same audio engine (nVidia HDMI output). I have not experienced this when playing back just audio (flac/mp3), only after playing a DTS or DD encoded video file. I am using this chain: LAV Splitter->LAV Audio/LAV CUVID->madVR with VideoClock. Audio file playback is set to automatic and is using the MC filters.
