pb playing MPC with media jukebox 8
« on: June 02, 2002, 12:44:40 pm »

Hi,

I would like to play MPC file with media jukebox 8 but I've got no sound despite I've installed the plugin located on this website.

I'm running under windows XP Pro, with a sb live. I've got no problem when playing MP3 file.

What can I do ?

Thanks.

Have you installed the Input plug-in from the Input plug-in page? You most have this for MPC to work in MJ 8.

Is your volume muted?  Right click on the volume slider.

Check levels under Windows Volume control.  Wav must be set high.

What encoder was used on the files in question?

Hi,

the players works fine with MP3 (so there's no mute problem or speaker problem).
The plugin from this site is installed.
I've encoded them with exact audio copy using frank klemm encoder in braindead mode.

Thank you.

There is a new version available on the plugin page. Try this version.

You still have to get the Input Plug-in to decode this also. Otherwise you are up a creek without a paddle. If it is not installed you cannot playback MPC formatted files.
