CD-Text related issues
« on: May 29, 2002, 10:42:51 am »

Hi,

More writing and reading tests done with
ver 285.

MJ does not write Artist and Album correctly.
Only Album title is written, containing both
Artist and Album title.  I read this with other apps.

How do I force MJ to read CD-Text on thusly written
CD.  It does not want to.

...to the above.

MJ was reading song titles from a previously written CD.
Had to clean out all the database for it to read CD-Text
correctly.  Maybe a beta issue.

The CD Title/Artist being written as Title only is a problem.
Song titles seem to be written and read OK.  CD issue Date
is not written or Genre is not written.

I'm not sure I understand. Could you please explain this in more detail?

I'm afraid that is all our burn library currently supports. Hopefully in a future update we can support CD-Text more fully.

I burned a CD using MJ8.  Moved it to a Plextor CD-ROM.  A bunch of songs
showed up, but with wrong titles.  The songs played OK from the CD, but titles
were from a CD did did a couple days ago.

Removed and re-inserted the CD.  Still the wrong titles.

I removed all titles from Media Library [CD and DVD Media].
Removed and re-inserted the CD into the drive.
Correct titles showed up.

This is why I asked, how to force MJ to re-read the CD-Text.
