Integra DHC 40.2 as DLNA render?
« on: October 07, 2011, 08:00:50 am »

The DHC 40.2 works great as a Player. It accesses the library quickly & plays my Windows Loss Less & FLAC files without the need convert. DLNA.org shows that it also is certified as a Render. http://certification.dlna.org/certs/REG84620248.pdf
It does show up in MC as a zone, but I am unable to send music to the 40.2.
Are there any special tweaks that I need to apply to get it to work as a render. I am using MC15.

You might need a newer version of MC. There are more extensions to the controller functions in 16. You could try 16 and see if it works before upgrading. It'll coexist alongside 15. BTW, your certification doesn't show flac support and the DMR certification shows somewhat less WMA and seek support than for the DMP.

Thanks for the speedy reply Bob. I will give MC16 a shot this weekend.

I did notice that the cert did not list all of the units abilities. Am not sure how the certification process work, but possibly Onkyo\Integral has not been "re" certified or gave up on trying.

MC16 does the trick.  :D  The Integra works as DMR.

Time for the upgrade!

Thanks for your efforts
