How can I import M3U playlists having relative file references?

(1/1)

chrisjj:
e.g. \album\track.wma or (Windows Media Player style) ..\album\track.wma .

I find that File, Import Playlist just ignores these, as if it cannot find the files.

No problem on references with drive letter e.g. E:\album\track.wma

Else if anyone has another workaround, please say. My references have no drive letters since these M3Us are to go on a DVD-ROM which may mount under different letters.

Thanks.

chrisjj:
Anyone, please?

Matt:
It's working for me in MC18.

Remember that the paths are relative to where the playlist is located.

Coo... I should have checked again - yes both work on MC18, and album\track.wma too.

Thanks Matt!

EDIT: fuller list of reference formats found to work on MC18:

album\track.wma
\album\track.wma
..\album\track.wm
..\..\..\library\album\disc\track.wma

and of course

driveletter:\library\album\disc\track.wma

Hmm, seems not so simple. Same failure on MJ14 as reported http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=79113.0 for MC18.
