My sincere apologies if this has been already answered, but I can't seem to find it, and I'm at the point that my eyes are starting to bleed.

If I change tagging info in MC 15, am I correct that the changes will be saved in the MC Database?

I have two computers w/MC 15 installed. One machine is used strictly for playback via it's internal hard drive.
The other PC is used for importing, tagging, etc. All the necessary housekeeping. This music is stored on an external HD.

I then copy the contents of my external HD to the internal HD of my "play only" PC. I also back up the latest database and copy it to the "play only" PC.

I use this system because it's horribly inconvenient to input data on my "play only" PC.

Using this method, will tag changes be brought along to my "play only" PC?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I think that the info under the MORE heading is helpful.

But I'm still unclear if the tags are stored on the MC database or not.
If not, do I have to store the tags in the file ?

Sorry, I directed you to a lower section of the page.  I've updated the link.

But rather than give you more pain:

* MC uses its database always to manage files
* MC can, and does by default, update file tags automatically

When you make changes inside MC, it is its database you are changing (aka the Library).  It will shortly thereafter update your files with the changed values, so your files will be tagged.

Whether or not tags are written out is controlled by the Edit > Update Tags When File Info Changes... option (also found in Tools > Options), and if a given library field is configured to write to tags (and the standard ones are - see more in the page I mentioned above, and/or in Options > Library & Folders > Manage Library Fields...).

If you want other programs to see tags, then allow MC to write out tags.

By the way, have you considered using Library Server?
