How do I get this software not to repeat audio files by default withour my having to remember each time to set 'Stop after current file'?

How do I get  *.sub subtitles to show properly when there are multiple audio tracks (English, French etc.).

For repeat, try Menu > Player > Repeat (or click the little repeat graphic on the player window)

For subtitles, could you describe your file naming scheme?  Are you using Red October Standard in Options > Video?
