I wonder if this stuff is at all related to those random bouts of "Updating for external changes" I saw before, which caused me to turn that feature off.  I have it on now with the new build, and after the first big batch, I haven't seen it since.

I use stuff over the network all the time, obviously.

From the release thread:
8. Changed: After tagging Media Center explicitly sets the last modified time of the tagged file instead of assuming the file system will do it automatically (because network file systems are sometimes slow to update automatically).

I can confirm that the problem is fixed in 16.0.176. Thanks!
