MC16 Google Search Screen stays up after closing MC
« on: September 12, 2011, 09:33:08 am »

Hey guys... new user here and I love the program.
After 7 years from XP's Media Center OS -> Vista -> 7MC -> MPC-HC ->XBMC -> MC16, it seems that J River is the answer to my HTPC Holy Grail quest.

Just 1 question for you.

When I close the main MC16 Application on my Server computer, the main screen google search lingers.
As a result, I have had to "minimize" J River rather than close the application on my server.

Please advise how to get this to function properly.

Thanks again!
Brian

Welcome to Interact.

When this happens, is there a JRWeb.exe process stuck in Task Manager?  Does the program close if you kill it?

You could try switching web browser engines in Options > Tree & View.

Or you could try starting someplace other than start so no web engine is needed in Options > Startup.

Thanks.

Thank you for the help.  Yes, there was a JRiver Process "stuck" which held the browser segment of the home screen open after I close the program.  This seems to be fixed by having the program start on the "videos" screen rather than the home screen.  Is this the only fix, or is it a known issue soon to be resolved?

Thanks again, the software is wonderful!
