Where We're Going Next

Vincent Kars:
I’m still missing a couple of options I had in WMP

The ability to select a couple of tracks and do a configurable database lookup.
This includes a dialog to match the tracks in the library with the tracks found.
Better support for tagging classical music (AMG)

The other is of course support for multiple values especially in artist and genre

Upgraded without problems, also license update and payment no problems! Perfect!

Gizmo for iPad I would like

It sounds good to people that don't know any better, but what else? :)

MC doesn't need much memory. I've been running MC for years (HD video and audio) with only 1 GB RAM in my HTPC. Upgraded to 4 GB just a couple of months ago, and there's absolutely no difference in MC. Got the extra memory to play games. It might make a difference for those with very large libraries.

Great news, been waiting a long time for this!! That means I can even input the sound from my Sat receiver and run it through MC, right? Any estimate on when this function can be available?

I suppose this should be extended to allowing all sorts of control (x-10?) to allow dimming of lights and drawing of shades and more.

I'm excited to see where this road wonders for another version :)

Yeah, an event-based system cold be extended to general home-control later if its  a success, however it aslo is a useful feature on its on right. Thats why i like that direction, seful, and maybe the start of something big.

Better organization for playlists. This would be the killer improvement for me and probably for other DJs. I want to organize playlists as easily as I organize media files. For example, I want to tag playlists and access them through regular views.

I have more specific thoughts about these, I can clarify more, if any sounds interesting. Write me personally, since I am on the road and cannot follow the board very closely.

Yeah, this is also something I would like, but it might not be "broad" enough to plot out a general direction for development?
