Updates to Red October now that MC17 is coming out?
« on: October 21, 2011, 07:41:23 am »

Will Red October in MC16 still download any updates to the various filters, etc., or are we stuck with whatever is in the final build?  Thanks.

There will be occasional maintenance builds of v16, just no new features.

So, does that mean RO in MC16 won't download any updated versions of LAV filters, for example, unless there is an actual new maintenance build of MC16?

I certainly can't comment on that, but remember that you'll always be able to download and install updated filters on your own with MC16. So you won't be stuck with old codecs no matter what the answer is, but it might be more of a Crimson Tide than a Red October. :)
