Can I replace my SageTV with MC17?

It is not clear if MC will perform the basic functions of SageTv.
It sounds like Theater will allow recording, don't know if it will record series?
It can be seen that the standard tuner cards are supported, but don't know if multiple cards are supported? 
And the most important, will the Hauppauge extender be able to retrieve the streaming video? (Need to send the playback for Video and Music)

Very confused!

Yes, MC supports recording series.
See the TV section of this forum (General>TV Cards and TVs).

We're working on automatically importing and tagging SageTV recordings.
