Frame Rate and Jumping

Played a avi doco yesterday FPS was 25 but on panning it was quite jumpy.

Do I need to set the frame rate to match?

I have enabled Automatic Display settings changing. will this help???

And what have you set for 25 fps material as the default refresh rate?
