Is MC Desert Island Proof?

But with the way the global economy is today, you should consider making it possible for people to continue to use your software even if your company is no longer around. I for one will continue using MC long into the future. It really has no competition as far as I'm concerned.

If your PC running MC doesn't have an internet connection, MC won't check for updates.
If your PC is connected to the internet and you don't want MC to check for updates automatically, you can turn off that feature.
I have MC 12 and MC 15 installed on one PC. They have run without updates or re-installation for many months. No reason you can't do this with MC 16,17 ...

For the present, they are doing a good job of staying in business.
