MC17 parametric equalizer (possible bug)
« on: November 05, 2011, 07:34:38 am »

This issue also occurs in MC16.

In DSP parametric equalizer, when the Bandwidth is accidentally set to blank or zero whilst music is playing, the music stops and clicks are heard every couple of seconds.  Putting back a sensible bandwidth value does not overcome the problem.  Exiting from DSP and stopping and starting the music also does not overcome the problem.  It is necessary to exit MC completely and re-start.  The problem is then gone.

It would be good to have a DSP on/off button on the menu for quick comparisons.

Very happy with MC, and JRiver. Hope feedback is of value.  Regards.

Welcome to Interact.

Thanks for the report, and we'll try to get this fixed in a coming build.

One little tip is that you can get to DSP Studio a little easier using the equalizer button near the top right of the program.

Coming in 17.0.30 and later:
Fixed: Entering an out-of-bounds value into the Parametric Equalizer's 'Adjust a frequency' filter could cause problems.

Thanks for the report.
