Is it possible to add an artist?

How do you add an artist?  I would like to add an artist such as "Barbershop", so that I can take some of the rips that have fallen under Various Artists and move them to something more specific.  But I see no way to add an artist.  Is it possible?

With MJ 8, just rename one of the artists to "Barbershop" (via in-place editing or file properties) and then do a refresh. (F5)  After that, Barbershop will be in the tree, and you'll be able to drag to it just like in version 7.
