Playback of real media video broken

I had a quick look at MC17. Everything seemed fine except i noticed playback of real media video was broken, i.e., rm, ram and rmvb files. I got sound but no picture. Was using standard red october settings. They playback fine on MC16.

I'm having this issue as well. I can get /some/ real video files (rm) to work by selecting the file extension in the Options: File Types: Real Media and deselecting automatic and manually selecting J River Video Engine (using direct show filters) and also the RealMedia Source Filter and the Real Video Decoder. If I simply leave it on automatic or manually select the real player engine, it goes full-screen and an asterisk spins on the screen as if it's opening it and the play bar says "opening" but it never actually plays anything.
I re-installed the real player and that didn't help any.
Edit: If I use the 'send to' function and/or play the video files in RealPlayer directly they play fine, but that kind of defeats the purpose.

So is this a bug or not? If it is, has it been fixed yet?

Bump - I'm also having this issue. However I've found jumping to and from full screen mode works as a temporary fix
