Importing media but not updating

hi
I'm using the latest trial MC 16.0.181 build to check out this MediaCenter.  I love it and it is filled with features.  I'm trying to do a simple import of my videos (avi, mp4, mkv) from a mapped drive and it did imported fine and shows up.  However, I do not see the updated videos from other computers or my DLNA TV.  Am I missing somethings very simple (like restarting the service, etc.)??  THX
