How can I update all of the records in my database to now point to a
UNC name rather than a local drive name. The idea here is that I could
then setup other computers on my network to read from and update to the
same library. BTW is this even a good idea?

Please take a look at Media Server in Version 8.0. It allows Media Jukebox to provide a view of another PC's library (running Media Server) so it looks exactly like you're playing on it.
