Convert library information to Excel file

What's the best way to get the information in the Library into a format that can be opened as an Excel table?  I've tried 'Export to XML' however am unable to import this file into Excel.  Thanks in advance.  sskings

You can also select all the tracks, copy, and then paste into Excel.

Or you can export the database in CSV text format.

File > Export Playlist

Select Text File (delimited).

Include the fields you want (all or those in the view).
Select the Output range (the selection, or All files).
