« on: July 08, 2004, 08:36:07 am »

Can someone give me a quick explanation of the following fields?  If they are standard, how they are calculated ?

While that's a handy page it does actually explain how the fields are calculated.  As in, what formula is used to determine if it's a mix album or not?

Mix Album
From previous threads (and I have not verified that this is still the case):

A track will have Mix Album (an audio-only field) set when:
  - all the tracks in a folder have the same, non-empty [Album] value
  - the collection of tracks has more than one [Artist] value

In other words, when Album Artist (auto) is set to (Multiple Artists).

Playback Range
From build 14.0.55 (08/21/2009)
NEW: Playback Range field is user editable to allow custom cue-in and cue-out points.
NEW: Playback Range field accepts high resolution times like '1:22.343344 - 3:21.3902013'. (still accepts low resolution times like '1:22 - 3:21' or simple millisecond numbers like '82000 - 201000')

Text
A compressed text representation of .txt, .cpp, .html, and .rtf files.  This allows searching inside of these files using the search box.  This field is valid only when Media Type is Data.
