As my audio collection is substantially bigger than what fits on my portable, I made a playlist and use this list to sync to the portable.
For some reason or other this playlist is cleared occasionally.
This has happened a couple of times.
MC sees all the file on the portable but when I open the playlist sometimes all of a sudden all entries are gone.
I have the feeling that as sync is a 2 way process somewhere when MC doesn’t get the content on the portable right, it deletes entries from the play list.
Sorry for not being more specific but this happened to me a couple of times.
Is it possible to add some prompt to MC the moment MC decides to remove entries from a playlist?
Maybe this helps to isolate the problem.

It's more likely that the portable device itself is emptying the playlist.

I know Rockbox was doing something like this a while back for some users.

Had this issue a couple of times in the past (Win Mobile 6.5 on HTC Diamond 2) and had it recently when switching to a Samsung Galaxy (Android 2.3.6)
The only thing that helps is locking the playlist but I tend to forget this.
