Batch update of video metadata.
« on: December 29, 2011, 02:09:35 am »

I'd like to be able to batch update video (series, movies, etc). This has been requested in several other threads, but I'm posting this in a new thread since I believe this is an essential feature.

What about the cases where the retrieval is ambigous for one or more videos?

Several solutions have been suggested in other threads but I think the main point is that after retrieval, it must be easy to see which video failed.

Someone (Glynor) mentioned that if you have made a disambiguation sometimes in the past this should be remembered by MC consequently.

The date when metadata was retreived should possibly also be saved. This could be a way of detecting if metadata was retrieved, by the way. It is also something that could be used to filter "old" metadata is (and then refresh).
