I followed the instructions from http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Blu-ray regarding "Decoding for DTS-HD".

When playing some of the Star Wars Blu-rays I've noticed crackly distorted sound during dynamic periods. The Death Star explosion in Return Of The Jedi for example.

As soon as I removed the dtsdecoderdll.dll from C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\J River\Media Center 17\Plugins\lav then the problem went away.

Which version of the dll are you using?
I've had earlier reports that old versions could potentially cause issues with the 6.1 track used on the discs.

I would suggest to upgrade your TMT3/5 to the latest version, and use that version of the DLL.

I am using the latest version of TMT5. Pretty sure the modified date of the dtsdecoderdll.dll file is 2011/10/29.
