  • LIFE IS A RADIO... CRANK IT UP TO 11!

I have a bunch of home movies i'd like to upload to facebook, that are large in file size... I've had a look around but cannot seem to find an answer. Can jriver convert our videos to smaller/Same quality file types?
If not can anyone recommend a good convertor for uploading our videos to facebook and youtube?
Thanks.

Have you tried DVDFab video converter. It has a trial period so you can test.

You might also try Handbrake.

If you want to convert video with MC, you can set it up with the Send To menu, I highly recommend you check out MediaShrink.

It is an awesome little free tool that can be used to easily convert files from the command line using profiles you can build (and test) easily in Handbrake, since it just uses Handbrake and other common tools internally to do the magic.

It is really quite slick, and works very well with the Send To -> External menu in MC.

The main issue is that when the new file is finished, it imports "blank" into MC.  It would be really nice to be able to get MC to copy the metadata from the source file over to the newly minted copy.  I've been brewing an idea about this in the back of my mind...
