Rip CD to MP3 instead of wma?

Maybe I missed this option. Is it possible to do this?

Yes.  You will need the mp3 encoder plugin.  There are lots of resources above under Help.

the encoders page: also note in MJ there is a link to this page so you can add more encoders

make sure you download the correct encoder for the version of MJ you have some are for MJ8 and some are for MJ7

Settings -> Options -> Encoding.

Pick whichever encoder you want. If you don't have it installed, MJ will download it for you. If you don't see the one you want, visit the encoders page (link is on that same option tab) and download the one you want. If you still don't see the one you're looking for, download a commandline executable of it (if available) and use MJ's External Encoder option to set it up.
