Napster is about to hit the wall after rejecting an offer from Bertelsman to inject new capital in return for 100% ownership. Apparently, Hummer Winblad (the VC firm that funded them prior to the original Betelsman investment) stonewalled because Bertelsman refused to give their Board designees legal protection against further lawsuits by the Gadarene Swine.
