MediaJukebox process remains alive on exit
« on: May 12, 2002, 06:33:15 pm »

Cloned from the bug thread, as requested by JimH.

I keep finding multiple MediaJukebox processes in the task manager process list. It seems in some condition process remains alive when the process is supposed to exit. I've noticed this for several builds. I cant reproduce it all the time, but it seems to happen fairly regularly.

Other than the latest install, I have BusyBox and AlbumView plugin loaded (but haven't been exanding the PlugIn node much lately),  Arsenolite visualization and the X10 remote plugin

Claudio,
Try running without albumview.  I remember Rhino having problems with termination of threads.  Not necessarily albumview.  Could be an MJ problem, but please try it.

Thanks,

Jim

That is a known issue with AV and it's documented in the readme file.

It only happens when you go into the AV options screen ... but there is nothing in the options screen that causes it.
Just by the action of loading the screen is causing another object's reference count to be incremented ... I have spent *hours* trying to track it down Next Page
I will look at it again later this week.

just to confirm I've un-installed AV and I haven't seen the process remaining alive after that
