Playing DVD from harddrive to PS3
« on: February 07, 2012, 10:09:54 am »

Hi,

Newbie here, evaluating JRiver.  I did a search but could not find the answer to my question so thought I would post.

I am streaming to a PS3 (my 2+ yo, Sony TV can only do pictures and music via DLNA as verified by Sony…  idiots…  who does that).

I have copied all my DVD's to hard drives.  I can play the DVD (w/o the menus) via JRiver, however, there are DVD's that have multiple movies on them.  In this set up, JRiver plays just one movie.

Is there a way to specify which chapter or movie to play?  So in the case of Hallmark's Blackbeard, which has parts 1 and 2, I could have two icons in the library - one that plays part 1, and the other start on part 2?

I realize I can rip each movie and save them as a separate file but would rather just have a link or second icon.

Possible?

Thanks

Welcome.

Currently there's no way to play a title other than the main title from a DVD over DLNA.

We hope to change this in the future.
