I know I'll have the menu structure with VIDEO_TS rips, but as is MC will show each disc as a sub-menu of the series' main folder;
Theater View -> TV Series -> Only Fools and Horses -> Series 1
Theater View -> TV Series -> Only Fools and Horses -> Series 2
Theater View -> TV Series -> Only Fools and Horses -> Series 3 [Disc 1]
Theater View -> TV Series -> Only Fools and Horses -> Series 3 [Disc 2]
Theater View -> TV Series -> Only Fools and Horses -> Series 4
Theater View -> TV Series -> Only Fools and Horses -> Series 5
etc. etc. That is all i'll have from a VIDEO_TS rip. Then the menu for each disc will pretty much be just the episode rather than scene selections. So if MC could expose the menu structure (and maybe the episode name if it's in the IFO file) directly in its interface that would be awesome;
Theater View -> TV Series -> Only Fools and Horses -> Series 1 -> Big Brother
Theater View -> TV Series -> Only Fools and Horses -> Series 1 -> Go West Young Man
Theater View -> TV Series -> Only Fools and Horses -> Series 1 -> Cash and Carry
Theater View -> TV Series -> Only Fools and Horses -> Series 1 -> The Second Time Around
and clicking on an episode would run the disc directly at that point (i.e. simulate loading the menu and pressing the episode number). As I said I don't even know if this would be possible, but if the info is already there (in the IFO file) I would have thought it would be be (unless IFO files cannot be 'read'.
I prefer VIDEO_TS rips rather than MKVs as if I ever lose the physical disc at least i'll be able to re-burn an exact copy.
