The deeper you understand our predicament the more certain you will become that there is no solution and that things are going to get very ugly for everyone soon. Even if you prepare. And if you conserve to save some for the grandkids, someone else is just going to consume what you didn't. Nevertheless, I've decided to power down my life style. Feels like the right thing to do even if it will make no difference.

Suggest your wife read James Hansen's book. She won't be worried about Iran after that.
