I use a firewire connection to hook up my compact flash writer (ADS pyro).  Media jukebox recognizes the compact flash card as a portable device and allows me to upload MP3 files to it.  Under version 7.x this transfer took place at a very high rate of speed (around 1 sec/song), but under version 8 beta it has slowed dramatically to less then 500K/sec.
    Is there a known problem with getting the upload function to support firewire transfer rates?

do you also have it to convert to a lower bit rate? if so that may slow it down.
