Sync for digital crossover

I'm curious if, as of MC17, playback can be synced PERFECTLY on two zones to allow use of multiple DACS for digital crossover; then we wouldn't be stuck with DEQ units or specialized DACs.

You can sync them perfectly only if the DAC's can be set to external clocking and one can serve as the master clock. If you need 8 channels or less you can get a Steinberg UR824 (USB) or MR816X (Firewire). I have both and really like them. If you need more than 8 channels you can get a Lynx Aurora 16 or connect several MR816X's or other firewire audio devices. Several MR816X's are supposed to appear as one large soundcard but I'm not sure if it works that way for other products.

Interesting, I used to have blak lion and antelope isochrone. Thanks for the insight!
The new antelope ad/da looks interesting but only balanced out - maybe a plus for many active speakers?
