Files disappear from Library and are not possible to re-import

I have a couple of TV series ripped to mkv from dvd. The files are ok, and have been categorized as Media Type = Movie for some time. I tried to change metadata, setting Media Sub Type to TV series, and the files disappeared from Library. They are not found in Files view or any other. I changed the folder name containing the files, and they re-appeared. Changed metadata again, and the files disappeared again. It is repeatable.

I want these files to be viewed only in a dedicated TV Series view, not in the DVD and BluRay view, but I got stuck. I use 17.0.106.

Help. Please.

It helped posting this frustration. It seems when I keep Medie Type = Movie, I am able to define media sub types without files go away. Now I am suddenly not able to reproduce the "error", even if I did have this problem the first 10 times I tried.

Anyone with similar experience?
