MC always takes control of an IR commands even if isn't the active application

I've got MC plus MCE plus HuluDesktop plus Intelliremote.  Everytime I push Play, MC always handles the request and tries to launch.  I'm using Intelliremote to try and bring some sanity to the different apps, but unless I shut down MediaServer, I can't get the others to play nicely with MC.

I looked in the options and didn't find anything obvious.  Is there option I can run so that it only takes the IR commands if it the active window?
