Wondering what to do with Windows MCE and JRiver
« on: April 03, 2012, 11:15:10 am »

Hi All,

I'm not sure if this has been asked before but I'm in a predicament

we currently have a Windows 7 MCE PC (UK) hosting 4 tuners and 3 Extenders about the home. mainly used for TV watching but sometimes used for playing Music watching films
i also use remote potato to stream from the internet TV, and music if its compatible.
The MCE PC is also hosting Films via Media browser, running HT Media Player. this all works well but is lacking in audio perfection, i have trailed MC16 and 17 and i am very happy with the performance.

My question is this.
should i buy a second MC17 PC and run 2 Media centers one for TV watching the other for MC17 audio only. i would rather not waste money on a second box.

or should i intergrate MCE TV Functionality into jriver mc17 or vice versa audio/films into MCE has this been done before, am i going to get a remote control conflict (WAF)
i i'm about to move so would like zone audio as well.
