What should I do in Windows Firewall to get Gizmo working ? [Solved]

Thanks for that feedback, it could be very useful to others...

Update:

Still NOT solved as it turned out when I rebooted this morning.
No connection with Windows Firewall enabled. As soon as I turned Windows Firewall off everything was fine.
This is really driving me mad.
Reinstalled ZoneAlarm, which disabled Windows Firewall in turn, "allowed" MC 17 and all fine again.
Think I will leave it that way.

bob:
If you want to mess with it one more time.
Windows Firewall
Advanced Settings
Inbound Rules->Right Click->New Rule
Select port
Click next
Choose TCP
Specfic local port: put in port 52199 (or whatever port you are using in MC's Media Network Settings)
Click Next
Allow the connection
Click Next
Make sure Domain, Public and Private are checked
Click Next
Put in a name that you like
Click done.

I don't know what's happening, but it sounds like your rules are getting reset when you reboot. Are you in a windows domain??

Thanks for your reply. I will try that settings.
But before that: what do you mean exactly with the quoted sentence ?

Tools->Options->Media Network->Advanced->TCP Port. The default is 52199. That's the port you want to enable in the inbound rule I was describing. It should always be 52199 unless you've changed it...
