This is my experience with streaming premium MP3 music stations from DI.FM to Media Center (16.01). When I clicked on the MP3 icon at DI.FM, it would not play. The browser prompted me to save a .PLS file. Both Internet Explorer and Chrome did so. Saving the .PLS file to my documents accomplished nothing. Right-clicking on the MP3 icon at DI gave no usable options. Then I tried dragging the MP3 icon from DI in the browser to Media Center “playing now”. It was draggable but it did not play. I highlighted the listing in Media Center and hit the “play” button. It played!
I dragged all of my favorite DI stations from the browser to Media Center “playing now”. Then I saved the list as a playlist. Media Center saved every URL for my favorite stations at DI. I can open the playlist and then double click on any station that I saved. It will play in Media Center. And it shows the musician and song for whatever is playing.
