CD Rip .tmp and .xxx files

I just ripped my first cd in jriver, all went fine except in the directory i ripped to, the album is duplicated, once into .tmp files and once into .xxx files (as well as the mp3s obviously)
I assume I dont need these extra files but will i have to delete them manually each time i rip a cd?
The folder is 3 times the size it needs to be :-/

This sounds like a file system permission issue.

Make sure the folder you're ripping to allows delete.

hmm, in which case maybe its related to user account control in windows 7, i deleted them manually but i did have to confirm a uac message first
