I'm trying to document my field / naming conventions for some friends who are trying to replicate my setup. I thought I'd share what I've done here... I'll add the disclaimer that this is a heavily customised library, and some uses might not fit your workflow etc. It also relies on some custom fields, and non-standard uses of default fields as well, which are detailed in the document. Nevertheless, it might be useful to somebody!
This is my video one, and I'm working on an audio one too (hope to have a documented classical music system one day!)
A few comments
- I'm dealing with Movies and TV Shows here (as defined within the program by [Media Sub Type]= Movie or TV Show)
- My rename structure is based heavily on the Plex standards, as I share with other people who use plex, which can easily scrape info if the filenames are done properly
