Using Media Jukebox 14 (MJ) right now and have successfully created Library with albums, etc.  Have installed Media Center 17 (MC).  Is there a way to seamlessly import from MJ to MC so that current setup is retained without "reorganizing"? 

Tried once but MC wound up creating more albums than what I have in original MJ library.  Even with tabs set up for albums in MJ, looks like MC may be using imbedded meta data to create these extra albums. 

Since I am upgrading from one product to another, seems like it should be straightforward to retain original configuration.  If it works for MJ, why not MC?

As a follow up, are the Library file(s) in MJ and MC stored somewhere where they could be copied from one app to the other seamlessly thereby retaining the way they are organized in MJ?  Many of the files are one-only, as opposed to full ripped albums, downloads which have been put into "custom" albums.  Even with a relatively few albums this would be a chore and hopefully a needless one!

You can import your MJ14 library (aka database) to MC17.

- In MJ14, do File > Library > Back Up Library...  Save the backup file to some easy location.
- In MC17, do File > Library > Restore Library...  Point the restore tool to the MJ14 backup file.

You can uncheck the "Restore Settings" option when doing the restore. MJ14 is older than this feature and its backup file does not contain the settings part (= mostly the things that be configured in Tools > Options...)

All file metadata and playlists will be imported just fine, and your possibly customized audio views should be restored at least for the most part. MC17 has some changed and more advanced options and features and it is possible that some things do not show up exactly as before.

Thanks.  That's awesome, Alex...and something that I don't remember seeing on the Wiki information on "Library Tools" most of which I have read.

Am upgrading to and setting up MC17 to output to a new Mytek DAC which can process native DSD files in addition to PCM.  Any tips on setting up MC17 for DSD playback you might provide would be most helpful.

But why it's not possible to move library files from Media Center to Jukebox?
Could it be due to the Media Center contains library of videos, pictures etc.?

Is there any way how to copy the audio library to Jukebox?
