The new tool is working pretty well for me, once I have the Season and Episode numbers tagged.  However, I still have to enter this information manually, after looking it up online, and I'm really tired of doing it this way.

I'm still recording TV with Windows Media Center, and it captures the original air date, and episode name; but it does not have the Season and Episode numbers in the metadata.  Last time I recorded with JRiver, the situation was the same, no Season/Episode numbers.  Since they are required to get the metadata, I'm wondering how everyone else it getting this data.  I hope there is an easier way than manually looking for episode name on TVBD, like I've been doing.

I wrote some time ago about this, and it was pointed out to me that their API seems to allow searching with this data, but that would require JRiver to take advantage of the ability.

Any chance of this happening?
