how to copy songs from playlist to/from firewire disk

I keep my music library on an external firewire disk that I connect to a laptop.
I want to be able to copy playlists to my internal laptop disk, same as one might copy playlists to a handheld.

How do I do this? Is there a "handheld plugin" to just copy to another disk?

Select the playlist, then select all the files and the right click > Move/Copy files will allow you to selct a destination on the file system.

This is how I operate MJ. All my files (3686)are on an 80gig ext firewire HD and a selected few (561) have the dubious privilige of being resident on my laptop's internal drive. They are copied to the internal drive in the manner Claudio described.
