The option tab is dimmed

I installed media17 version 140, the option is dimmed (Tools/Option)

Assistance please

In the top tool bar, click on View to open the menu...

Is there a tick beside "party Mode"?
If the answer is yes, click there to come out of party mode and so be able to access options.

If the answer is no, I'm afraid I'm out of ideas...

Do you have the box next to "TV" checked at Tools>Options>General>Features ?
